Pumpkin Patch

We went to Craven Farms Pumpkin Patch in Snohomish this weekend. It was a lot of fun and Owen loved running around digging in the dirt. It was SO CROWDED there! We didn't bother to buy a pumpkin here, they were too expensive. We had fun looking around though!
Couldn't even make it in the front gate before Owen found a rock and a little bit of water to play in.
Talking on his gourd phone.
Driving a tractor!
A mini Owen sized pumpkin

Children of the corn!
Playing in the dirt!
We love sticking his face in these things!
A pumpkin totem pole
It was hard to get him to stop, turn around and smile for pictures. I have many, many shots of his back this day!
Ok, sit still, look at the camera, smile!
Ok, at least he's paused and looking.

Looking back at this picture almost made me cry. Look how little he was last year! He was barely crawling and didn't even wear shoes then! What a difference a year makes!!

Back in the dirt of course!

Pt Defiance

A few weeks ago we went to the Pt Defiance Zoo. It was my Grandma's 81st birthday and Owen's first trip to Pt Defiance. He had a great time looking at the animals and we enjoyed a delicious birthday picnic too!

Excited about monkeys!
Listening to a talk about Sumatran Tigers
We left the zoo for a little while and had a yummy picnic made by Mom, including a fancy chocolate cake!
The noodles were O's favorite
Um, you have a little something on your chin buddy.
Nevermind, you're covered in it!
Chocolate hands!
Cleaned up and played on the beach a little. Gave Nana some flowers.
Back to the zoo!
A sign that says Owen!
Driving along 5 Mile Drive in the park, there were tons of raccoons. It was pretty weird actually. They just crossed the road and then stopped and stared at us. So we took a picture.
After a long day, everyone needed a nap!

Farm Tours

The last weekend in September, we went on a "Farm Tour." We drove around to different farms around the Duvall/ Carnation area and had a blast! My mom had a great time spending the day with Owen too.
Owen had fun playing on the tractor!
And in the giant tire!

We waited on a hay truck for like half an hour, but finally got sick of waiting and it was getting hot out, so we didn't ride.
He thought this was really cool!
We stopped at an Alpaca farm too! Owen thought they were cute!

Crazy weird art.
Anytime we see a thing to put Owen's head through, we do it!
They had baby chicks.
And big horses!
And miniature donkeys!
Stopped at the Outlets in North Bend and tried on Winter hats. This is super cute, but he'll never keep it on!
What a fun day we had!

General Updates

We've had a busy few weeks around here. Owen finally settled down with daycare and is hardly crying at drop offs. He's sleeping all night again, but wakes up about 6:30. Sometimes we can get him back to bed, other times not. He's already had 2 colds though! Yuck. We did lots of day trips with my mom while my dad was in Japan. I'll post more pictures of those individually, but this is just the general update on things we've been doing.

Hanging out with Rose and Shaun a lot!

We went to Country Village in Bothell where there are roosters wandering around. Owen thought that was pretty cool
We went up to Burlington to see the Aliberti's and taste test Thanksgiving turkeys. Owen got to take a bath in their big bathtub.
And play in their newly finished basement!!
We video chatted with Tanner and my Dad while they were in Japan.
And had friends over for dinner.
Owen loves to point to the planes!
He loved Grandma being at the park too!

And more evidence of all the reading going on around here!
While watching football yesterday, Owen and his stuffy nose passed out on John. He NEVER falls asleep just hanging out, so we could tell he really felt under the weather. Poor baby.
