Owen is now:
30 inches tall in the 57th percentile
49.5 cm. Head Circumference in the 99th percentile He must have got smarter.
24lbs. 9.75 0z. Weight 76st percentile

Just a reminder what he was back in July at 9 months old:
28.5 inches tall in the 58th percentile
48 cm. Head Circumference in the 98th percentile
22lbs. 10 0z. Weight 81st percentile

Great Email

I got this great email from Julia today while I was at work:

"...he napped from 9 til 945 then i held him for half an hour to make sure he got a long enough nap. story time was good, there was 5 other moms or grandmas with kids. 1 was almost one and the rest were like 3 months or 6 months. she read a story and we sang some songs for half an hour and then they got to play with toys. i'm going to put him down for another nap in a few minutes. i just gave him a bath because he peed out his diaper at olive garden. maybe we need to go to the next size diaper so they hold more pee. oh. and by the way HE POOPED IN THE TUB! i was so tramatized. he farted and peed while standing up and then he pooped. ugh. it was gross. I screamed and tried to grab it with toilet paper and then i had to fish it out of the tub with toilet paper, but toilet paper didnt do anything either. so i ended up using a baby wipe because i couldn't touch it. then i emptied the water and filled it enough to wash his hair and that was it. he didnt get very long to play but i dont care!!!"

She went to a reading at the Lynnwood library with her friend Rose then out to lunch.

First Birthday Party!

Saturday was Owen's birthday party. We invited a lot of family and friends and had a TON of delicious food. Owen won't remember it, but John and I will remember the fun we had and everyone's generosity. My parents really went overboard making it a special day for us. We had so much fun and hope everyone else did too!

My mom made a California Roll casserole instead of the traditional roll. Decorated with scrambled egg "flowers"
Pad Thai, Asian chicken wings, Kalbi, miso salmon, fruit salad, Vietnamese chicken salad. Plus there was bah minh sandwiches, mango curry shrimp in lettuce cups and potstickers
Dan, Monica, Lindsay, Tiffany and John. Lindsay and Tiffany are both pregnant, about a month apart. It will be exciting when Owen has little friends to play with!
My friend from work, Kelsey and her son Dezrian. Dez and Owen are about 6 weeks apart. Kelsey and I were just a few of the pregnant girls in my department last year!

12 Months Old!

Sorry we're late in getting his 12 month pictures up, I know Owen's fans were waiting anxiously for these ;) For his actual birthday we didn't do much, ran errands and got ready for his big party which was held Saturday. Owen has been walking for about 2 weeks now and has been getting lots of forehead bruises as a result. Another tooth came in, now he has four on the top and four on the bottom. He's really into pointing. If you ask him where Mama is, about half the time he gets it right and points to me. Other times he just points to the wall or something. I swear he said "Tickle, tickle" the other day, but probably not. We have his 12 month well baby check up on Wednesday and will update then with his stats for this month.

Oscar Mayer Wienermobile!!!!

So the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was at Fred Meyer today. We were on our way to Alderwood Mall and saw the Wienermobile and stopped by on the way home. It was pretty fancy. Owen got a Wienie Whistle and loves it. He was also pretty friendly with the Wienie Women.
