Grandpa Ricks Visit

Last weekend my dad had a layover in Seattle for a few days, he is now flying a new airplane which has more trips to Seattle. Sunday night we went out to dinner to the Peking House and had some good Chinese food in Shoreline. Then on Monday morning Owen and I went down to Mercer Island to my Grandpa's condo, then out to coffee at a Starbucks with my Aunt Sally. After that we went back to our place and met up with Dan and had dinner at my place. I cooked some spicy baby-back ribs which turned out awesome.

Emi's Surprise Party

A few weeks ago Kyle, Joyce, and Steve had a surprise party for Emi's 25th birthday. There was some really great food (as always) and good times.

Eight Months Old!!!

Watch out everyone, Owen is Eight Months Old today and he will try and bite your nose off (really I think he is just trying to kiss us, but it turns into sort of a bite). He is now about 22.8 pounds and still around 26 inches according to our "percise" calculations. He is eating more fruits and veggies, and starting to walk along the edge of the couch and coffee table while holding on. Sleeping is still an issue we are going to have to tackle in the future, but he came down with a cold so we thought we wouldn't torture him with the Ferber Method.

Not a whole lot to report on lately. We went out for cupcakes at Trophy to celebrate our little friend Henry's 18 month birthday. It was delicious! Owen didn't get to try any, but John and I sure enjoyed splitting a sample!

We tried the Farmer's Market Blueberry, a Snowball and Chocolate Peanut Butter. So outstanding!

Owen has his first cold! :( It's mostly a runny nose and a little cough. He did get to try some chicken noodle soup... it always makes us feel better when we're sick!
