Kingston Family Reunion

Last weekend we had a family reunion with my moms side of the family. They rented a house over by Kingston that was by the water on a bluff. We had a great weekend with the family playing cards and visiting at a nice house and we had some really good food.

Just missed the ferry and had to wait.

Owen likes Dr. Pepper cans.

Mom making dinner.

My Cousin Liam checking out Owen.

This was Saturday morning, all the adults were up
at the crack of dawn having coffee out on the bluff.
I took Owen out and pawned him off on Grandma Cary,
then went back to bed.

Cooking French Toast.

Excited for Dog Agility!!!

Dan, Julia, and I went to meet up with the others at Port Gamble,
and there was a Dog Agility Show going on. Owen stayed back at the
house with my mom. The show was pretty awesome and
entertaining to watch all the dogs and the people leading them.

Part of the course.

Check out the video.

It was really fun to see the dogs screw up and then
their trainers would get all flustered. This video was the best
dog we saw of the day, it didn't make any mistakes.

There were thousand of Sand Dollars all over the beach.

Here is the house we stayed at.

4th of July Camping Trip

Last Wednesday we left Seattle and headed over to the Washington Coast for our annual 4th of July Camping Trip with Julia's Family. This year we camped at Grayland State Park south of Westport, instead of our usual spot at Twin Harbors Campground. At this new site had hook ups for the trailers, which was awesome since we ran an extension cord to our tent powering our space heater, Aero bed, bottle warmer, cell phones, and breast pump.

Warm Elmo Suit.

Also new this year Tanner, Leigh, and I went on a Salmon fishing charter out of Westport. The trip was ten hours of hell, Tanner and I didn't have any fun, since we were seasick the whole time and only fished about an hour out of the ten hour trip. Plus Leigh who doesn't get seasick didn't catch any Salmon, so the whole trip was a bust. Never Again!!!

Waking up at 4:30 Am.

I was excited before the trip.

Tanner Hugging the Rail.

Leigh catching a "Dog Fish".

I guess Julia took this one.

Owen's first trip to the beach.

He really liked the waves.

Here I finally caught a fish.

Boy did his feet get cold, but he liked it.

Staring Contest.

Getting ready for our trip to the beach for Fireworks.

Burr it was cold and windy.

Owen is under there somewhere. The beach was so foggy that we couldn't really see many fireworks, normally you can see tons of people lighting off all their firework down the beach. (not this year though.) Plus when we got to the beach and light off a few the park ranger drove up and told us we couldn't light them in front of the state park, so some of our group took off up the beach to light them off. Julia, Leigh and I stayed for a bit then got cold and went back to camp.

Overall it was a really great trip (besides puking my guts out fishing).
